Mesalt® by Mölnlycke is a sodium chloride-impregnated dressing designed to stimulate the natural cleansing of heavily discharging or infected wounds. As the dressing absorbs exudate, sodium chloride is released, helping to draw out debris, necrotic tissue, and bacteria while supporting the body’s natural healing process. Mesalt® effectively manages wounds in the inflammatory phase by promoting gentle autolytic debridement.

Recommended for moderately to heavily exuding wounds in the inflammatory stage — including infected wounds, pressure injuries, and venous leg ulcers. Always follow clinical protocols and manufacturer instructions for application and frequency of change.
