Smart exudate management

The unique 4 layer dressing absorbs and channels exudate away from the wound bed and allows you to track exudate progress without disturbing the wound. The construction of Mepilex Border Flex Lite provides an optimal balance of exudate absorption and moisture vapour loss, maximizing exudate management for or non- to low exuding wounds.

When to use Mepitac

Mepitac is designed to fix medical devices such as drains, tubes, probes, electrodes, IV cannulae and dressings gently to the skin. It’s suitable for patients with fragile or sensitive skin – or when the fixation tape has to be applied and removed frequently, e.g. neonates and dialysis patients.

When to use Tubifast

Tubifast with 2-Way Stretch Technology can be used as a dressing retention and skin covering for any part of the body. It can also be used for patch wrapping and as an under-cast stockinette. Because of its tubular construction, Tubifast with 2-Way Stretch Technology is particularly suitable for holding dressings in place on difficult areas such as stumps of amputee patients.

• Bordered gauze island dressings have three distinct layers for versatile use, including as a primary or secondary dressing
• Layer 1 is a nonadherent contact layer that protects the wound site and will not stick to granulating tissue
• Layer 2 is a soft pad that absorbs drainage and cushions
• Layer 3 is a nonwoven backing with an adhesive border to securely hold the dressing in place

Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag antimicrobial post-operative dressing is conformable and easy to use. It's designed for acute surgical wounds that can benefit from an antimicrobial action. The impregnated silver sulphate particles create an antimicrobial action that helps to reduce bioburden after 30 minutes, killing 99.9% of a wide range of bacteria for up to seven days

When to use Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag

You can use Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag for exuding acute wounds such as surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions, and when an antimicrobial action is needed for infected wounds. 
Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag is designed specifically for post-op use for surgical wounds and blood absorption. The Flex technology helps it stay on for mobile patients – so you can use it for surgical wounds on joints such as hips and knees.

Frequency of change

Our Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag dressing can be left in place for up to seven days – depending on the wound condition and the surrounding skin – or as indicated by accepted clinical practice.
