The PROLENE® Polypropylene Suture (3-0, Blue Monofilament, FS-2 Needle) is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture designed for reliable wound closure in a wide variety of procedures. Constructed from an inert, high-molecular-weight polypropylene material, it provides excellent tensile strength, smooth handling, and minimal tissue reactivity.
This suture features a 3-0 gauge with a 19 mm 3/8-circle reverse-cutting FS-2 needle, optimized for precision and durability in both skin and soft-tissue closure. Its blue monofilament strand ensures high visibility during placement and removal. PROLENE® sutures maintain long-term integrity within tissue and resist degradation from body fluids or enzymes, making them ideal for cardiovascular, plastic, and general surgical applications where extended wound support is required.
